Carol and Daryl are leaving France behind and moving to Spain for the next chapter of their adventures in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 3.

Produced by AMC Networks and directed by Daniel Percival and Paco Cabezas, the new season premieres Sunday, September 7, 2025, on AMC and AMC+.

Season 3 follows Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) and Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride) as they continue their journey to somehow return home and to the ones they love. But the road ahead isn’t easy — the path takes them farther astray, leading them through distant lands with ever-changing and unfamiliar conditions as they witness the various effects of the Walker apocalypse.

Joining Reedus and McBride this season are Eduardo Noriega, Óscar Jaenada, and Alexandra Masangkay as series regulars. The cast also includes Candela Saitta, Hugo Arbués, Greta Fernández, Gonzalo Bouza, Hada Nieto, Yassmine Othman, Cuco Usín, and Stephen Merchant, amongst others.

Filming for Season 3 took place across Spanish locations including Galicia, Aragón, Catalonia, and Valencia, each offering a unique backdrop for the post-apocalyptic world. We’re incredibly proud of our talented Ánima Stillking crew, whose hard work, craftsmanship, and creative excellence helped bring this gripping story to life.

And there’s more — AMC has also confirmed that the series has been renewed for a fourth and final season. Production has begun in July in Spain, with the eight-episode season set to film in and around Madrid, Castilla La Mancha, País Vasco and Castilla León among others.

Executive producers for Season 3 include Scott M. Gimple, Showrunner David Zabel, Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride, Greg Nicotero, Brian Bockrath, Angela Kang, Jason Richman, Dan Percival, Steve Squillante, and Silvia Aráez and Jesús de la Vega from Ánima Stillking.
